Galisteo Community Association

The Galisteo Community Association was formed in 1973 to

  • assess and facilitate the needs of the community
  • ensure community and individual rights
  • maintain and preserve the historic nature of the village
  • protect and improve the quality of the Galisteo environment
  • maintain, protect, and improve community properties and facilities
  • enhance the quality of life in and around the village of Galisteo

All Galisteo residents of 6 months or longer automatically become members of the non-profit Galisteo Community Association. Its elected Board of officers and directors operate the GCA, represent Galisteo, and manage the Galisteo Community Corporation (GCC). The GCC is a legal entity that owns the Galisteo Community Center, Galisteo Community Center Park and Playground (leased to Santa Fe County), Phillip C. Watts II Memorial Park, and a vacant 10-acre parcel south of the Iglesia Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Church.

The Galisteo Community Association Board meets monthly at the Galisteo Community Center. Members of the GCA may observe the meeting but not participate. GCA members who are not scheduled on the agenda may address a topic of interest to the Board for up to 3 minutes; please contact President Jennifer Martin. NEW: Monthly meeting documents, including minutes and financial information, are posted to this page after each meeting (see below).

In order to keep this older building maintained and continuing to provide a gathering place for the community’s social and business functions, donations are needed and welcomed. The GCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; any contribution made is tax deductible.
